Along the coastal road in Fungping Village, about 1 km from Gangkou (Harbour) Village, Fongbin Moon Cave stands 80 meters above sea level beneath a mountain. The cave has two main chambers.
Keeping a temperature of 20 degrees celcius all year round, the caves are warm in winter and cool in summer. Refreshing waters from the mountains above seep down through the cave cracks. There are also stalactite, stone pillars, a black flowing stream and bats inside the chambers. The only way to enter the cave is by boat with a guide equipped with a flashlight. The cave is filled with wonders, waiting for you to discover them in the darkness.

From Hualien, take the No.11 Provincial Route southward passing Zhianlio, Suilien, Fungping, Shitiping and you shall destinate.

From Hualien Od Train Station, take the Hualien Express Coach heading towards Jingpu. Alight at SHitiping, and follow the signs to walk to the destination. |
