Shimen is situated in Funan Village and is encircled by grand mountains. The rushing waters and hills resemble that of Taroko, thus nicknamed Mini TIenshiang.
Shimen literally means 'stone gate', and is named so because of the erroded cave in the middle of the sea. It is a popular place for fishing and usually you can see many fishermen and tourists alike waiting patiently for any fish to catch lure. However the waves here are dangerously powerful so should be on a look out as you view the seascape.
