Dapong Bay is a lagoon located in Donggang Township, the scenery area includes Dapong Bay and Liouciou specific scenery area, projected to 3 sections: remains of military history, water sports and land activities. Exhibit of garrison times are for visitors to know about Dapong during Japanese government period. Water sports area providing entertainment facilities as sailboards, canoes, and so on, Dapong Bay is also known as a surfing paradise for its stable water area. The mangrove ecology is easy to be observed, like the plants, bird, and fishes. The administration is planning to build Dapong Bay as a national scenery area co-ordinate the Donggang fishing industry and culture, to become a well-organized ecology protection area and leisure tourist attraction.

By Own Car :
1) Pindong - Wulong - State Highway 27 - State Highway 17 - Dongang.2
2) Kaoshiung - State Highway 17 - cross Dongang Bridge - Dongang
Follow the signs into Dongang Township, via a discarded interchange and arrive at an intersection near the police station. On the left you can see the scenic area, and a further 500m straight will get you to Dapong Bay Red Forest ; if you go straight from the side opposite Yili Primary School you can make it to Dongrong Temple and the second red forest. |
