Originally built in 1923 in Pingtung City District and covers an area of 20 hectares, the Pingtung Wine Factory was moved to the Neipu Industrical District where it still remains now.
Pingtung Wine Factory manufactures mainly rice wine and up to 6 million dozens of bottles. The ingredients they use are hand-picked from the Dawu Mountain streams, then fermented, brewed, and distilled to become the finest white wine that had won the Gold Medal at the Monde Selection for 3 consecutive years.
The area around the wine factory is green with fresh air. In conformity with the government scheme the factory also formulated a rice wine museum, where public can visit and view the making of Taiwan's best brewages.
