Pingtung University of Technology (PUT for short) pervades over 285 hectares of land, the biggest university in Taiwan in terms of area coverage.
Inside the school there is a domestic farm and a field of grass with bushes of flowers framing the area. There are up to hundreds of cows that provide milk of a whole new level of freshness.
PUT also has a national wildlife sanctuary, where abandoned orangutans, tigers, bears etc. are being looked after. You will need to register in order to visit these animals. There is even a stray-dog orphanage where anyone can come and adopt one.
At the back of PUT there is a pavillion which is a good spot for watching sunrises as well as bird-viewing ; many couples have appeared on this very spot.
