Taibalang is located in the eastern facet of Guangfu Township and is a close neighbour of Mata-an Tribe, separated by just the Jianon River.
Taibalang means crabs in Amei dialect. This tribe was named so because a long time ago this is the inhabitation of many schools of crabs.
The local adolescence had wished to prolong their tribal traditions and vital cultures, so recently they have been working on promoting weaving, folk songs, wildlife training, wood carvings etc. Now, as a result, there are various traditional handicrafts and artifacts being put on display at Taibalang Cultural Hall, as well as the Taibalang Primary School.
