Taroko National Park Administration Headquarters
Hualien County in the east of Taiwan is famous for the Taroko Gorge all the while. With the seemingly vertical cliffs, Taroko is of majestic magnitude. It is located at the east end of Central Cross-land Highway; and the scenery along the highway is also lovely. Taroko is at the meeting point of Hualien, Nantou, Taitung, and Yilan County. Most residents here are Atayal aborigines.

27 mountains are included in the area as well as many famous scenic spots, such as Yantzkou(Swallows' Grottos), Tunnel with Nine Turns, Tianshiang and so on. Amongst them, Shenmi (mystery) Valley (Shakedang tributary), Liushuei, and Baiyang trails are very well known internationally.

Taroko National Park Administration Headquarters is set up on November 28th 1975. It is in the north of Taroko. In order to introduce the information in relation to the Taroko National Park, the Headquarters has built the Visitors Center, Conference Room, Multimedia Room, restaurant, Ecology Exhibition, Atayal Culture Relic Museum and so forth.
