Wuher is a remote village located at Luihui, Hualien County along the Huatung Road’s main junction. In the earlier years, the stone pillars here attracted government to develop the mountain slope area for manufacturing industry. Since then, Wuher has become a poplar tourist spot. The most popular stone pillar here is the 6.6 meters high Wuher Stone Pillar. It is a remain from the Ah Mei tribe before the development of this area. From here, visitors can enjoy splendid panoramic views of the Shiukushih River Valley and the mountain range.Wuher Tourist Tea Farm offers tourists a taste of the authentic Thienher (Heavenly Crane) Tea. It, together with the popular Herkan Red Tea from the adjacent Herkan Village, has become one of the most renowned tea farms in Taiwan. A white imposing building erected amid the lush greenery marks the Tropic of Cancer.

By car : From Hualien south bound, go to Zhi-an, Shoufung, Funglin, Kuanfu, Luihui and go straight to the destination.
By bus : Take the Hualien Express Bus bound for Yili, Fuli and alight at Wuher stop. From Taipei, take the north route train to Luihui. Change to bus bound for Wuher Village. |
