Nanlen Village belongs to Manjou Town of Pintung County. Located within the mountains, it is a utopia away from the bustling city. The village is surrounded by mountains and intact rainforests.
In the valley are three natural lakes called the Nanlen Lakes where rain water from the mountain streams converge, keeping the lakes filled all year around. As the Nanlen Mountain region is subject to Henchuen Peninsula's unique seasonal wind and rains; it has resulted in the growth of more than 2200 species of plants and vegetations.
Currently, the Nanlen Mountain has been designated as an ecological reserve area for research purpose. Visitors are therefore not allowed to enter.
