The entrance to Wenshan Hot Spring is right at the eastern mouth of the Taishan Tunnel, and takes around 5 minutes to reach after exiting. The hot spring is situated between the cracks of the river end. Winshan Hot Spring is also named Deep-water Spring, and is 3 km away from Tienshiang. Walking down from the Wenshan Hotel along the valley path takes another 15 minutes. As you walk deeper into the valley, you find the the motorways way above your head and yourself walled by marble cliffs and riverbeds. The fountainhead of the spring pours at 40 degrees celcius ; the water is acidic and suitable for bathing but not for drinking.
Close to the valley is a natural marble cave, considered as the best alfresco hot spring spot by the many tourists that were attracted to this renowned site. The river outside is also available for playing, and it even serves as a cooling shower of a spa after bathing in the hot spring.
