This hilly historical site is located at Checheng Village, east of Sichung River. Its solid footing on the slopes between the 370 meters high Chaomoo Mountain and the 450 meters high Wochunshi Mountain made it a strategic military outpost. The Japanese invasion of Mutan Village in 1874, with the intention to enter Taitung, took place here.
