With a mixture of traditional quadrangular design and contemporary 3-dimensional architecture, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum houses 24 galleries displaying the works produced by modern local and foreign artists. Art works of specific themes are also being displayed at fixed schedules.
The museum is comprised of an audio-video room, a library, and an art classroom etc.; a total of 6 stories. It is also the first national modern arts exhibition venue, as well as Asia's biggest contemporary arts gallery. The Taipei Fine Arts Museum is therefore said to be the representation of Taiwanese cultural spirit and creative demeanor, making a constructive environment suitable for the education and appreciation of art.
