Count:49593 |
On a vast and swampy plain at the delta point of Tamshui and Keelung Rivers, is the breeding ground of the rich variety of marine life and birds such as fish, prawns and crabs.
In 1983, the Taipei City Government considered the park as the haven for the waterfowl birds as it is the last piece of land of clean soil in Northern Taiwan. It was decided to be divided into : Conservation Zone, Education Zone, Observation Zone, and Recreation Zone.
Bird-viewing season is annually between October and March. The Guandu Park is the perfect choice if you are wishing to view around 200 types of birds at the same time. Guandu Park also offers other ecosystems such as swamps that contain crabs and muskippers, a sight you nature-lovers wouldn't want to miss.
