The Grand Hotel, one of the 10 largest hotels in the world, is a majestic architecture which resembles that of a Chinese palace. Here, royalties and world dignitaries including national leaders have had been guests of this five-star resort.
The Taiyuan Woopaiwanlen Tomb is a revolutionary martyr's shrine, located in front of the Astronomical Science Hall. It is a tribute to the soldiers who perished while defending the country in 1949. In front of the tomb are parapets and plagues complete with 500 recorded heroic events of the patriots who are resting in peace now.
