Point : Sanmin Bat Cave |

Discovered only in 1968, this cave is located at Fushin Town. The cave entrance is half circular shape whereas the inner chamber is a curved moon shape. It houses strange looking rocks formations. The ground is elevated inside and forms a gentle slope towards the outside like a stage. The spacious interior can accommodate up to a thousand people. This area is now a popular picnic area for tourist touring along the North Cross Island Highway.

By car :
From Chungshan Highway (southward), exit at Taoyuan Highway Interchange to No 4 Provincial Route, No 7 Provincial Route and then to Sanmin Bat Cave.
From Chungshan Highway (northward), exit at Chungli Highway Interchange to No 114 County Route, No 4 Provincial Route, No 7 Provincial Route and then Shanmin Bat Cave.
From 2nd Northern Highway, exit at Tahsi Highway Interchange to No 4 Provincial Route and then No 7 Provincial Route and you will arrive at Shanmin Bat Cave.
By bus :
At Taoyuan Main Station, take the Taoyuan Express Bus bound for Tahsi. At Tahsi, change to Taoyuan Express Bus bound for Fushin and alight at Shanmin Bat Cave. |
