This is one of the two cold water springs found on the island. It is located on the western flank of Tapin River Valley at Mt Wutzi (Five Fingers), Peipu Town, Hsinchu County. There are suspension bridge, sheds, barbecue area, swimming ponds and public facilities at the upper source of the spring. During public holidays, the river sides are crowded with visitors. This has now become a popular spot to escape the summer heat. The river valley is wide and dot with lush greenery. In fall and winter, it turns into an attractive display of flowers, stretching several kilometers long.

By car :
Drive to Peipu Town and go along the Chungcheng Road until the Peipu Post Office.
In front of the post office on Tapin Road, follow the road sides leading to Mt Wutzi and Chihua Temple.
At the No 52 Electricity Pole, look in front and you will see the reservoir. The distance is about 9 km. |
