Tayi Ailin Memorial Ceremony
Tayi is an aboriginal village belonging to the Pei (North) Saishia tribe. It is located at Wufung Town in Hsinchu County. They are of the same descendants as the, Mioli's Thienhu Saishia tribe. Once every two years, a small memorial ceremony will be held but the biggest offering comes once every ten years. Their ceremonial style is perhaps the most colorful and richest in cultural heritage contents compared to all other offerings made on other parts of the island. The main purpose of the ceremony is to pray for the death not to seek revenge and for gods to grand rich harvests to the land.
The ceremony is normally held around October 15 for three days and three nights. The programs are divided into three stages; that is welcoming the spirits, entertaining them, and sending them.

As Tayi is close to Thienhu where accessibility is good, this event has always attracted hosts of visitors to this village during the ceremony.
