Shiantienhu Ailinchi
Shiantienhu is a remote aborigine village belonging to the Saishia tribe, in Tungher Village, Nanchuan Town. Once every two year, a spiritual offering called Ailinchi (short spiritual offering), is held and every decade, a grand offering is held. These ceremonies have rich cultural and heritage contents and are thus, the most important events for this tribe.Ailinchi is held on Oct 15 on alternate year. It lasts for 4 days and 3 nights. The ceremonies include the sending, welcoming, entertaining, meeting and chasing of the spirits. No other tribes is allowed to participate. Visitors are only allowed to observe the ceremonies on meeting and entertaining of the spirits. Aborigines dressed in their traditional clothing and accessories would dance and sing for days while the traditional moon and stars flags rose high in the air. These grand scale ceremonies are truly memorable treats for the visitors.

Getting there :
By car :
From Toufen Highway Interchange, exit to No 124 County Route to Shanwan.
Turn to No 124A County Route and after passing Lungmen Tunnel and Nanchuan Bridge, at the junction, turn left and drive eastward for about 1.8 km.
There on the right side of the road at a junction, there is a sign showing the direction to Shiantienhu. Turn to the junction for about 5 km, you will reach Shiantienhu
