As an international airport, Chiang Kai-shek International Airport (also called Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport) is located in Taoyuan County, Taiwan. With regular international flights, Chiang Kai-shek International Airport is the busiest airport among three Taiwan airports. China Airline and EVA Air base on the airport and operate a major hub here. There are two airports in northern Taiwan, one is Chiang Kai-shek International Airport, providing international flights. The other is Taipei Songshan Airport located within the Taipei City , which serves only domestic flights and few international mission flights for the President and Vice President of the Republic of China as well as other international sovereignties' chartered flights.
With contemporary architectural design, the Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport covers an expanse of 1,200 pin and is 40 km from Taipei. Its control tower protrudes at the center of the building, is patterned after Chinese architectural style. Other than the airport proper, it also houses an Aviation Exhibition Hall and Aviation Science Hall etc.

By car :
From Chungsan Highway, exit at the Chang Kai-Shek International Airport Interchange and then the Tayuan Interchange and you will reach the Aviation Hall and the airport.
From 2nd Northern Highway, exit at the Lungtan Interchange to No 113 County Route to Chungli. Then, change to No 110A County Route to Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport.
By bus :
At Taoyuan city, take the Taoyuan Express Bus to Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport.
At Taipei or Taichung, take the Taichi Express Bus to Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport. |
