Zholan is located at the southern flank of Miaoli County, close to Tungshih Town of Taichung County. Due to its ideal logistic, which yields mild weather and fertile soil, the village, together with Tungshih, is renowned as the king of fruit producers in Taiwan.
The more popular fruits are grapes, oranges, star fruits, plums, peaches etc. Due to the vast variety of fruits planted, the harvesting activities are continuous all year round. Zholan’s tourist fruit farms are now regulated by the Town Committee and only three areas are opened to tourists. They are Shipin, Srsui Cave and Neawan.
