This Taiwan Aboriginal Cultural Park , designed for mass tourism, is located at Yenanshi near the Fookoo Bay of the upper riverside. It belongs to Sentimen's Paiya Village of Pintung County. This land was previously known as the Machia Aboriginal Cultural Village. It is known to house the best aboriginal museums in the country.
Spreading over an 82.65 hectares of land, the park exhibits the lifestyle and cultural heritage of the nine main tribes in Taiwan. They are the Taiya, Shaisha, Pulong, Chao, Lukai, Bainan, Peiwan, Ah Mei, and Yamei. You will find a multi-functional hall, local exhibits, and a traditional assembly hall. It is further subdivided into four visiting zones; the visitor parking lots, cultural museum, art and handicraft exhibition hall, audio-visual auditorium and a recreational zone.
The Tamaluwan exhibition area is the gathering point for the Taiya, Shaisha, Ah Mei, Bainan and Yamei tribes. Naliwan Area has a massive slide show auditorium with a 360 degree screen, lifestyle exhibitions, a wax museum and a dance floor. The mix of displays and life entertainment keeps the visitors exhausted in jubilance.
Furthermore, the Fookoo Bay area also displays model houses of the Pulong, Peiwan, Lukai and Chao Tribes. The interesting diverse structural differences exemplify the unique social and cultural background of each tribe. Other than that, the park also holds regular cultural activities and ceremonies such as Harvest Festivals etc, to further highlight the proud heritage of the aborigines.
