Located on the right riverbank at the mid stream of Shihmen Reservoir, Ah Mu Plain (Ahmupin) is part of the Tahan River plains. Its winding stream and crystal clear water make picnicking and camping on the plain ever more attractive. There are a variety of facilities and resorts here such as the Fupin Grand Hotel, barbecue area, boating piers etc. The most unique is a 230 sq meters outdoor recreation compound which offers more than 60 kinds of sporting activities. The campsite is deep in the pine woodland. It is spacious and can take up to a few hundreds campers. There is also a small compound for campfire and group activities. While communing with nature, campers can also visit the majestic Shihmen Reservoir or do some boating on the lake.

By car : From Chungli Highway Interchange, exit to No 112 County Route passing Chungli town to Tahsi. Then, turn to No 7 Provincial Route passing Tzuhu and at Paizhi, turn right to Shihmen Reservoir’s round. There are road signs all along the roads. It is about 26.5 km from the Interchange. On 2nd Northern Highway, exit at Tahsi Highway Interchange to No 7 Provincial Route passing Tzuhu, Paizhi and then connect to Shihmen Reservoir’s round road to Ah Mu Plain. It is about 15.5 km from the interchange. |
