Originally named Duck Pond (Yajr), Dream Lake is located at the eastern foothill of the Seven Star (Chishin) Mountain. Due to its logistic under the northeast seasonal wind during winter time, the lake is foggy most of the time. Thus, it is named Dream Lake.
The seaweeds growing on the bottom of the lake are considered as rare temperate species and as such, have been classified as protected species by the government. As the lake is under the ecological preservation area, permit to enter the area is required.

By car :
From Taipei City, drive along the Yangteh Main Road, Yangjin Road (2A Provincial lane),
passing Shilin, Yangmingshan to Chunghu stop. Then, go on foot following the sign to the lake. |
