【Erleo Thousand Years Camphor Wood】
Located at Erleo Village in Peipu Town, Hsinchu County, this giant century old Camphor tree has thick trunk and dense leaves. Coupled with the surrounding smaller trees, this tree has formed a mini-forest of its own. In front of the tree, there is a temple named Fute Temple. A stream flows gently in front of the temple and the shady front compound has become a social gathering and resting place for the local dwellers.
The surrounding views are magnificent too with farmlands stretching to the edge of the horizon fringed by mountains and tea farms dot the nearby mountain slopes.

| Drive to Peipu town and at the town center, go towards the Tzutien Temple. Turn right at Chung Cheng Road passing the Peipu Police Station. In another 100 meters, you will see a shed. Go on the side road passing Yun-an Bridge and a public cemetery for about 1.5 km. Then, turn left on a pebble road and you will reach the Erleo Camphor Wood. |
