The Northern Dawu Mountain is one of the 5 dominant mountains of Taiwan. It sits firmly at the southern most area of the central alps. It is 3092 meters tall (the only peak to reach over 3000m in southern Taiwan), and is the sacred range of the Rukai and Paiwan Tribe.
This landmark of Pintung County is towering with a sense of majesty. You may find the entrance by going on the left industrial lane next to Taiwu Primary School. April to November is the best mountaineering season, although recommended forbidden if rainy.
