Niushan is in Shueilian Village of Hualien County. The coast line which is near the 27-kilometer mark of No.11 Provincial Route used to be a dairy grassland. Thanks to the unique shape of the seabed, a beautiful bay was formed.
Over the cattle dejecta area, a spectacular scenery will appear in your field of vision. Take a stroll to a small hill and overlook the entire coast line from there; a sense of calmness and warmth will fill your body.
Relaxing on the small hill, you can see the green grassland in the opposite direction. As you may know, Niushan is rich in ecology. Visitors interested in sea creatures or seascapes should not miss this tourist attraction. On the return trip, you may go from the path next to Jingxiu Temple, towards the No.195 county route. Then go into East Rift Valley from the coast line. As always, the scenery there is wonderful. It is also suitable for visitors looking for a bit of excitement in going for a drive. If you wish to take pictures of the wandering seascape of Niushan, then the 20-kilometer mark of No.11 Provincial Route is a good suggestion. Looking out from there, imagine how spectacular the scenery will be.

| There are 3 paths available to Niushan, one is beside the Niushan bus stop, of which is wide and cars may pass through. The other two are near the civilian houses. However it is difficult to find them without natives leading the way. It is an aboriginal forest, so please be careful of ox fiecies. |
