The Cingshui Cliff is located on a segment of Su-hua highway over a stretch of 22.7 kilometers beside the seashore. The Cingshui Cliff rises vertically and majestically from the Pacific Ocean, with an average height of over 800 meters! The cliff composes of gneiss and marbles, making it look much stronger. Looking at the hovering highway adjacent to the mountain wall makes one just hard to imagine, again, how people were able to construct such an incredible highway. It is an extremely convoluted and twisting highway and is also the most breath-taking section in the entire Su-hua highway. The attraction is also a great place to see the sunset and sunset. There are three observatories at the Cingshui Cliff where you can stop during a drive along the Su-hua highway to appreciate the nature's masterpiece in Eastern Taiwan. There, you can see not only cliffs but also caves, rocks and other wonders shaped by the water. There is also a trail of about 200 meters where you can take a walk into the nature. Among these cliffs, the east-south cliff of Mt. Cingshui is the steepest. It is 5 km long and is spectacular. Driving a car between cliff and the boundless ocean almost feels like you are flying. Not surprisingly, the Cingshui Cliff was designated in 1953 by the Taiwan government as one of the island's "Eight Wonders"!
