There are two Red Leave Hot Springs in Taiwan, one in Hualien, and the other in Taitung. Hualien Red Leave Hot Springs is located in Hongyeh Villlage, not far from Rueisuei Hot Springs. Hualien Red Leave Hot Springs locates amidst mountains and forests; hence you can truly experience a taste of natural hot springs . The hot spring water belongs to alkaline sodium carbonate. It is one of the three most famous hot springs locations in Hualien. The spring water is clear, colorless and odorless. It is good for treating skin diseases and suitable for drinking. Temperature is around 47 degrees Celsius. The spring water comes from Hongyeh Brook, originated from 1745 meters above sea level. The stream of spring water is the longest in Taiwan, as it is 14 kilometers long. The stream flows east until it meets Siuoguluan River. The surrounding of the hot springs is tranquil and serene. In fact, the appearance of the surrounding changes with the seasons. It feels different as you go during different time of the year.
