Hualien-Taitung Coastline Highway begins north of Hualien City and ends at south of Taitung City. It belongs to the 11th Provincial Route and is closest to the Pacific Ocean. All along the way you may see picturesque scenes of the sky and sea meeting at the horizon line.
There are several pit-stops on the highway, from north down to south respectively are : Hualien Coastal Park, Salt Cottage and Hernan Temple, Nioushan, Jici Swimming Pool, Shihtiping, Fongbin Moon Cave etc.
