The Hualien Ocean Park is situated in the county of Hualien but is a mere 10 kilometers away from Hualien City. Hualien Ocean Park is Hualien's biggest man-made tourist attraction and Taiwan’s first theme park focusing on the marine ecology. This is, also, the only one in Taiwan that includes a nature park and a five-star Victorian Hotel resort inside. Hualien Ocean Park features eight zones that introduce different aspects of ocean and marine life. Kids, in particular, will have a great time here, but for adventurous travelers or people wanting a more viable experience, there are many places one can go that are much cheaper and provide a better experience. From thrilling water rides and bumper boats to dolphin shows and roller coasters, everyone can have a fun time in this amusement park. You will be astonished to see these amazing dolphin and seal shows, as they showcase their amazing acrobatic abilities. More importantly, from almost all sections in the park you get a feel the presence of the sea and the pleasure of embracing scent of the ocean! The main amusement zone includes the Mariner's Cove, Discovery Island, Dolphin Lagoon, Main Street, Harbour Square, Brighton by the Sea, Underwater Kingdom, and Crystal Castle. There is even a cable car service available within the ambit, taking from one end of the park to the other end. For a travel full of great fun, you should visit Hualien Ocean Park, and it is worth it to come many times as well. You will not get bored. The amusement park is open Monday to Friday, from 9AM to 5PM, and Sat and Sun 8:30 to 5PM. Every adult will cost 890NT$, and people under 19 will cost 790NT$

By Public Commute :
--Train : From Taipei : take the tourist train and arrive straight at Hualien New Station ; around 3 and a half hours.
From Kaoshiung : via Nanhuei Railway and go up north from the Eastern Line.
--Plane : From Taipei : via Fareast or Fuxing Airline, takes around 35 minutes.
From Taichung : via Huaxing Airline, takes about 1 hour.
From Kaoshiung : via Fareast or Huaxing Airline, takes about 50minutes.
--Bus : take Dayiou Coach and get off at Hualien City, then transfer to Hualien Coach head towards Taidong and Fongbin directions.
