Wulai, located in Taipei County, is a beautiful small town surrounded by spectacular mountains, running rivers as well as hot springs. Within the water reservation area, Wulai features wonderful scenery, hot springs, trail train, waterfalls and Yushian Amusement Park.
Wulai, a term used by native Taiwanese- Tai Ya tribe, which means hot spring. Obviously, hot spring is one of the mainly natural resorts in Wulai. The hot spring here is colorless and odorless, very different from others in Taiwan.
Wulai features its sightseeing trail train, which is unique in Taiwan. Couple years ago, trail train was used to be the transportation for lumber, starting the development in this area. Another feature here is the cable car of Yunhsien amusement park that sits atop the magnificent waterfalls in Wulai. The two minutes cable car leads you enjoy the entertainment of Yunhsien amusement park.
Apart from natural environment, Wulai also features aboriginal culture center which contains native culture, traditional habits, and historical artifacts of Tai Ya tribe. Nowadays, Wulai has been a popular scenic spots for tourists, being a beautiful place that worth you to visit.
